We're back!

The Preschool opened again today and we were as busy as ever learning about new things. We've begun a unit on animals and the sounds they make!














books are fun to read and one of the best ways to increase vocabulary. If you're not reading to your child or children everyday please begin to. Bedtime stories bring everyone closer together.

 Making new discoveries!

Arts and Crafts is always a fun way to learn about shapes and sizes. Today we made an elephant using circles, triangles and rectangles.

We're back and better than ever!

It's been a great holiday for all of us at American Language Soka. We're well rested and ready to get back to work and have fun. BabySigns is the best way to jump communication with your newborn. The Preschool returns on Tuesday the 18th of August. We're so excited to see everyone again! Get ready for more fun using daily English. We hope that you've had a great holiday. See you soon!

 Looking forward to seeing everyone in our Elementary School, Jr. High School and High School classes. It's been a hot summer. I wonder how much swimming everyone has been doing. Please tell us everything next week!

Asking and answering questions activity

This is a cooperative activity designed to produce questions in order to discover the missing card. The students must ask questions until the task is completed. 

Listening is an important conversation skill. You can't answer the question without first understand what is being asked. Here the student is correctly responding to a question....

More Computer Fun!

 We did more work with computers and had a lot of fun. The boys and girls had never used a computer and mouse before.

Soon an understanding of how to use a computer mouse was learned and they could independently achieve results.

 Here he is using CD-Rom that was teaching upper and lower case ABC recognition. Well done!

 Looking at letters, recognizing which letter is which,  touching the letters and arranging them in order is an important skill.

While we put the ABC puzzle together we are listening to the ABC song and of course we sing along with it!

Concentrating on the mission at hand is of importance!
